This existing building was renovated to become a new resident oasis: a stylish design for a perfect location on the vivid Barceloneta neighborhood. We did the engineering, construction, and design in order to enhance the atmosphere and the style with local neighborhood.

Challenge: Each floor plan was built to accommodate the fishermen, the original layout had 28sqm, with less than 1sqm for the bathroom area. the new design needed to increase the usable area in a small apartment with the functionality of modern life.

Solution: Flow, lighting, and reflections were key to fit all different functions. the use of natural materials with color elements to make the space bright and cozy. Downlights are located above the bard and the sitting areas. Same fixtures with a narrow beam angle around the huge ceiling beams — an architectural element we chose to highlight. A wallpaper with green elements located in the sitting areas, create a warm atmosphere.
