Concept: This high-end Apartment in a prime location offers to rent high standard residential space. The space was a part of old Barcelona’s layout with 7 sperate rooms, with the bedrooms facing the street. The concept was the build two separate suit units with walking closets and private bathroom, design a layout the is adjusted for modern life with the connection to the place and climate. As such it takes advantage of the daylight during the day in the living room and enjoying the sunset in the bedrooms.

Challenge: changing the layout complete with utilities, electricity, climate, and structure to support the new needs of the client with a goal to minimize energy consumption.

Solution: The outdoor light and the sun movent was correlated with the needs of the client, as for that we moved the bedrooms to the back of the apartment, facing the garden with early morning and afternoon sunlight, placing the wetrooms in the center of the apartment, keep them warm and cozy in the winter. The living room placed facing the street’s balcony with a lot of natural light, connected to the garden area with a buffering zone that is used as a library. The lighting planning was done carefully to enhance the authentic motives of the building, with functionality for daily life, we used flood light, narrow and spots to better control etch atmosphere.
